Nero grinned as she said if he started being with her more he would get sucked into fights with people like Jeremy. He knew he could hold his own against Jeremy, but that didn't mean he wanted to. "Well, I guess I'd rather it be me than you." He said, giving a small laugh. Nero had seen some of the things Jeremy had said threatening Nero, and had heard some of Satan's threats. They didn't scare him. They had been making the same threats since he was fourteen, and never went through with them, and if they did, he was even stronger now.

She watched him from the corner of her eye. He was so confident about everything! Here was guy who had just sacrificed his own energy just to get rid of her bruises. It was apparent that he loved her and she knew that she loved him but she had to think sometimes that she was overdoing it. She knew her expectations of the relationship had been off. At first she was only interested in a one night stand but as she got to know him she found herself irresistibly drawn to him. He was the closest thing to heaven she knew she would get and in her eyes he could do no wrong. She had been thrown though. Being so caught up in her love for him she found herself acting like what she knew must be a smothering girlfriend. If Nero minded he was too much of a gentleman to say something. She noticed all by herself though. She realized quite suddenly that she had been frowning down at her hands and looked back up at Nero. If he hadn’t read her mind he probably was wondering. I just feel so disconnected from you right now…like we’ve don’t know each other or something she said frowning. It sounded like a break up line but she had a feeling Nero knew what she was getting at.

Normally, when people looked like they were in deep thought, Nero would give them their privacy, and let them think. Today had been no different. Shanti had been looking like she was in deep thought, so Nero stayed out of her head.
When she looked up at him, he listened to what she ahd to say, and understood, to some degree. "Yeah... I guess we kinda rushed in, not really taking time to actually get to know eachother... You know if you wanna know something about me, all you have to do is ask, right?" He asked, more of in a commenting way tha anything.

Shanti nodded. She definitely wasn’t afraid of asking about him. Nero had answered every single question she had thrown at him. Honestly from what she could tell. I don’t think rushing into it was really a bad thing…I mean it was either rush into it or rip each other apart…we could still do that she said laughing a little bit and looking at him. He wasn’t having regrets she could tell and neither was she. The relationship just felt different to her and she couldn’t tell if she was forcing herself to be something she wasn’t. I dunno I just feel different around you and I can’t tell if it’s because I’m so wildly attracted to you or because it’s how I think love should feel like she finished. She personally thought the statement had summed it all up very nicely.

Nero laughed, and nodded. "Yeah, I guess we could still do that. But I can't really find a reason to." He listened to what she said next as good as he could. He was still a bit shakey from everything. "Well, if it is 'cuz you're wildly attracted to me, I can understand that. It's pretty easy." He said, joking, giving a shrug, and a laugh. "But, you can't go off of how love is supposed to be. Every couple, and every person has a different idea of love. It's different for everyone."

She grinned. It was hard to believe that when she had met him she had threatened him so openly. With the way they acted with each other nobody would have suspected the rough beginning to the relationship. Of course it didn’t stay rough for long. She bit her lip thinking about the steamy night at the club. She shook her head and rolled her eyes upward at his joke. She couldn’t believe how mature he was. She figured that could have been something else attributed to the reason why she felt tension. Nero had to grow up fast ducking Lucifer and in reality Shanti knew she had never really grown up. It didn’t take a mature person to kill people. She’d lived for a long time but where was her responsibility? She never had to worry about her safety with Lucifer as her master. I guess it’s something I’m just going to have to fall into by myself…I mean love isn’t exactly something you learn like math I guess she said leaning back into her chair. She would have suggested going someplace else but she wanted to give Nero time to catch up. He still looked a little uneasy.

Nero listened, and nodded when Shanti told him that she guessed love was something she would have to find herself. "Yeah, like I said, you have to figure out what you want it to be for yourself." He said, letting out a deep breath, starting to feel a bit of relief from the dizzyness. "Do you have a hotel room here or anything?" He asked, wanting to go somewhere a bit quieter, with less concrete. He had been running the streets for two weeks, and jsut wanted to rest, and spend time with Shanti.

It felt great to be so honest with Nero. She couldn’t recall a time ever when she had been so open with a guy. Then again Nero was much more than “just a guy” to her. Shanti watched him as he exhaled. He looked a little better now. She felt bad. She probably would have stopped him if she hadn’t been so exhausted herself but she certainly appreciated it. It was apparent that Nero cared to much to let her stay in pain even if she did deserve it. I don’t right now but there’s a hotel down around the corner she said looking at him. She didn’t have any money but she knew it wouldn’t be too hard with her powers to trick the person behind the front desk into a room. You definitely look like you could use some down time she said standing up.
