Emil's eyes scanned around the dimly lit park. It was night time and he had decided to come out for a jog. He had nothing else better to do, especially since his sister was hanging out with a group of newly found friends; which he didn't like because he didn't know them. However, she had begged him to not be overprotective and embarrass her, so he didn't.

Not worth it, did her...that's a...gross He thought as he watched the people who also decided to go for a walk or a jog go by. Sadly, most of them were human. It would of been nice to have met another immortal. And the fact that most of them reminded him of Lynn didn't help either. Why did humans look alike? Or, at least to him; it wasn't fair.

Deciding that he was sick of the group of people in the park, he got up from the bench he was sitting on and started to walk down the path, his stride nice and steady, just in case he decided to talk to someone. Plus, he didn't really want any attention to himself; especially if there were any DLF bastards around. God, every single one of them needed to die.

No, don't think about them. He ordered himself as he continued his walk down the park path, not sure of what to do now. There were many things and that was the problem, too many choices to choose from.

Callista had taken Edwin's advice and stayed low for a few days. It was finally when she reached a week and a half that she got sick of it. Being a perpetually lone wolf she got sick of being inside all the time. She wanted to move constantly. Today however she just wanted to enjoy being outside so she had grabbed a book (she had absolutely no idea what it was) and headed out to the park. So here she sat underneath the shade of a tree on a park bench. She was vaguely aware of others around her but none of them were of interest to her. Most were just humans puttering around doing their normal things like keeping in shape or throwing frisbees for their obviously bored dogs who always seemed to find a reason to come over and say hi to her. Callista had always wished she had such a happy personality like domestic dogs.

She turned back to her book after a while and tried to focus on the words. It took her a moment to realize that the book she had grabbed was in fact a Bible. She smiled bemused at the selection before jerking suddenly catching the scent of another Lycan. Her heart flew to her throat. She had tried hard to avoid them as best she could not wanting to be found out until she was ready to retaliate against the DLF. She could see him now walking down the path towards her but she could tell he hadn't caught her scent yet. He would. Instead she pretended to be extremely interested in the book in her lap. Maybe he would just pass and leave her alone.

Emil continued to walk down the path, not really bothering to pay attention to people. That was until he caught the scent of another Lycan. His eyes searched around a moment before spotting a woman leaning against a tree, reading a book; which was funny that it happened to be the bible. He wasn't sure what to do. She didn't seem to want to talk to people, but Emil was a slightly noisy person at times, especially when it involved other Lycan's.

After having stopped about a few feet away from her, he decided to go over and try and start a conversation. Couldn't hurt right? Well, unless she started a fight...but, he didn't think much about that. So, swiftly walking over, he stood there above her, not being threatening at all. "Hello." He said, a slight friendly grin on his face.

Callista tried to ignore him but his feet were right there in her line of sight as she looked past the bible to the ground. So he had caught her scent. Who was she kidding because she knew all along. She probably should have just gotten up and walked away. Well she couldn’t just ignore him now. He had said hello and if she didn’t say anything that would be suspicious. She lifted her eyes and immediately realized how attractive he was. Oh jeeze what was this all about? She had never been particularly attracted to guys ever since she had become a Lycan but now it seemed like every man she bumped into was gorgeous. She bit her lip for a moment before smiling to hide her blush. Umm hi she replied standing straight and realizing he still towered above her. She had always prided herself on being semi-tall for a girl. His height put her to shame though. She closed the bible in her hands and grinned looking back up at him. You get to reading some pretty random stuff when you’re bored I guess she said laughing nervously.

A slight smile crossed at the slight blush that was on the girls face. How cute. Though, he would of felt sort of bad if she was blushing because he had made her nervous; he had a habit of doing that to people. Mostly girls though, of course. He smiled more widely at her shyness. Must of been because he was taller then her...

"Heh, yeah...I get what you mean. It's better to read something odd then do nothing at all." He said, chuckling lightly before holding his hand out for her to shake. He was going to be friendly, no reason to pick a fight. Especially with a woman. "I'm Emil." He introduced himself, grinning a crooked grin.

Callista broke into a full on smile when he told it was better to read something odd than do nothing at all. At least someone semi felt the way she did. She took his hand and shook it when he offered it and his name. Emil. She liked it. It was different. Most of the time it was something simple like Joey or Charles. Emil was different. Like her. Callista she said smiling. She looked down at the bible in her other hand before setting it on the ground. She liked him so far but she didn’t know him. If he was DLF he had a pretty good poker face but she got the feeling that he wasn’t. Just wanted you to know that I’m not some sort of bible thumper…far from it she said grinning at him. She laughed nervously again realizing she probably sounded like some sort of drug dealing loose woman. She wasn’t like that either but he would just have to figure that out for himself.

Emil's grin widened even more. He liked her name, Callista, it was certainly different. Though, so far, she did seem different; And he meant that in a very good way. Better to be different then the same as everyone else he reasoned. "It's nice to meet you, Callista." He said, smiling, now glad he had decided to go for a walk.

"Ha," He laughed when she said she was far from some bible thumper. "Nah, I can tell you're not. Bible thumpers," Emil paused a moment to laugh lightly at the term, "Seem like they'd be annoying. You're not annoying." He told her, grinning widely.

She smiled back feeling herself lighten up a little. His easy demeanor and calm eyes told her he wasn’t there to kill her or start a fight. She blushed slightly at his comment about her not looking like a bible thumper. Good cause she couldn’t exactly imagine herself preaching hell fire and brimstone. Ya well I’m not Canadian so that helps she said making a small joke. She personally didn’t know why she found it necessary to snub the Canadians. It wasn’t like she had met one that she hadn’t liked. Somehow the joke almost felt appropriate though. She flinched inwardly wondering if maybe he was Canadian. That would cause problems she was sure. He didn’t look Canadian though.

She made a thoughtful face and nodded trying to keep from smiling at his last comment. Well that’s good to know…you don’t seem very annoying either she said letting her smile break loose again. She hesitated making another joke but let it die. One Canadian joke was enough for the day. So what brings you to this…erm place she asked as she watched a rather large woman jog by wearing short shorts and a sports bra. She shook her head in disbelief and smothered another laugh.
